The UCLA football team will play under the Rose Bowl Stadium lights in its 2025 season opener, the Big Ten Conference announced in conjunction with its television partners. The Bruins’ first two games have times and television networks, while one road start time was also decided.
Following a one-year break in the programs’ series, UCLA hosts Utah on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. PT. The 22nd all-time meeting will be televised by FOX. UCLA holds a 12-9 all-time advantage that includes the Bruins’ 42-32 win at the Rose Bowl in 2022. Pac-12 Conference mates from 2011-2023, the Bruins and the Utes meet in 2025 as members of the Big Ten and Big 12 conferences in 2025.
UCLA plays at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the first time on Sept. 6, when it takes on UNLV. CBS Sports Network will broadcast the 5 p.m. PT contest. The Bruins swept a home-and-home series with the Rebels in 2016 and 2015, their only previous meetings. A short week will follow, as UCLA then hosts New Mexico on Friday, Sept. 12.
Homecoming at Michigan State’s Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Mich. will occur Saturday, Oct. 11 and feature the seventh-ever meeting – and first since 1974 – between the Bruins and the Spartans. A television network has not been announced for that game, which starts at 9 a.m. PT.

UCLA’s homecoming will take place Saturday, Oct. 18 when Maryland makes its first-ever visit to the Rose Bowl. The Bruins and the Terrapins have split two previous meetings, in 1955 and 1954. The afternoon matchup (12:30 p.m. PT, 1 p.m. PT, 4 p.m. PT, 4:30 p.m. PT or 8 p.m. PT) will be televised by a to-be-announced network.
